The Golden Section

The logo you see on our web site is derived from the Golden Section. This is an ancient proportion that is defined by the Encyclopedia Britannica as:

The classical geometrical proportion in which a line AB is divided by an interior point P in such a way that AB/AP = AP/PB. This gives AP/AB the value 0.618..., termed
the golden number. This proportion is also
considered to be pleasing to the eye.

This is one of the primary design principals used in graphic design and throughout all the arts including music and nature.

If you go to Yahoo and do a search for "Golden Section" you will find over 400,000 sites relating to this term. We are very interested in this phenomenal way of arriving at beauty in the graphic arts and have taken it on as our symbol.
