- Provide an accurate laser proof of the art work.
- Provide all fonts and linked images required to output the file.
- Provide all information required to output the files and an easy way to be contacted when/if something goes wrong.
Responsibilities of Service Provider: - Establish costs for author's corrections done at the customer's request.
- Establish procedures for calling the customer promptly when problems are discovered.
- Establish a realistic turnaround time and inform the customer of any delays that may arise when they come up.
SERVICE EXPECTATIONS: Usually Included In Service Provider's Base Costs: - Installing fonts included on the disk and listed in the job information specifications details sheet included with the job.
- Setting up the applications necessary to run the customer's job based on information supplied by the customer.
- Cursory file examination and comparison of the image on the screen with the laser proof provided by the customer.
- Examination of the overall project to insure quality control to meet the printing needs of the customer.
- Complete final image output within a reasonable time.
- Redo the job in the event of a vendor error.
Usually Not Included In Service Provider's Base Costs: - Trapping
- Scanning
- File intervention to correct author's errors or omissions like: conversion of RGB to CMYK or adding bleeds.
- Creating laser proofs if not supplied by the customer.
- Additional time associated with jobs containing incomplete or missing elements.
